Spetsnaz Security can coordinate journeys in London and across the UK for airport transfers, meetings, events and multi-stop itineraries. If a passenger requires personal guarding, an appropriately licensed close protection service must be assessed and included separately.

Who is the service for?

  • Executives travelling between airports, hotels and meetings
  • Individuals or families who value discreet, coordinated transport
  • Guests attending private, corporate or public events
  • Passengers with several appointments or collection points
  • Clients combining transport with close protection or venue security

What can be arranged?

Depending on the confirmed requirement, the service may include:

  • Pre-arranged collection and destination details
  • Airport, rail-station, hotel, office and event transfers
  • Single journeys, return journeys or multi-stop itineraries
  • Agreed waiting time between appointments
  • Route and timing coordination
  • Passenger, luggage and accessibility requirements
  • Coordination with authorised assistants, organisers or venue contacts
  • Integration with close protection or event security
  • A requested vehicle class, subject to lawful availability and confirmation

Specific vehicle models, refreshments, connectivity and other amenities are not guaranteed unless included in the confirmed booking.

How a journey is planned

  1. Send the itinerary: provide the date, collection point, destination, passenger count, luggage and important timings.
  2. Clarify the requirement: we confirm whether the request is transport only or also requires personal protection, venue coordination or multiple vehicles.
  3. Confirm the proposal: the quote records the planned hours, journey scope, waiting time, vehicle requirement and relevant dependencies.
  4. Pre-journey coordination: authorised contacts and changes are confirmed through the agreed communication channel.
  5. Complete the journey: the service follows the confirmed itinerary while accounting for lawful route changes and live travel conditions.

Transport licensing in London

Transport for London licenses London taxi and private-hire drivers, vehicles and operators. TfL also states that a London private-hire vehicle must be booked in advance through a licensed private-hire operator. See TfL’s licensing overview and advance-booking guidance.

Any private-hire element of a London journey must use the applicable licensed driver, vehicle and operator arrangements. Security licensing and transport licensing are separate requirements.

Secure chauffeur versus close protection

Secure chauffeuring addresses the journey: the driver, vehicle, timing, route and passenger coordination. Close protection addresses personal security: guarding an individual against assault or injury. A driver is not automatically a bodyguard, and an SIA licence does not replace private-hire licensing.

Where both are required, ask for an integrated proposal. Our executive protection and secure chauffeuring guide explains the distinction in more detail.

Service limitations

“Secure chauffeur” does not mean that every vehicle is armoured or that close protection, surveillance detection or protected communications are automatically included. Any specialist requirement must be raised during the enquiry and confirmed in writing.

Journey times cannot be guaranteed because traffic, weather, road closures, flight disruption and other conditions can change. Vehicle class and specialist amenities depend on availability and applicable transport rules.

The service is pre-booked. Continuous availability, a one-hour minimum lead time or round-the-clock response is not promised unless specifically confirmed for that booking.

What affects the quote?

  • Collection and destination locations
  • Date, start time and estimated duration
  • Number of passengers and amount of luggage
  • Single, return or multi-stop itinerary
  • Waiting time and schedule flexibility
  • Requested vehicle class
  • Airport parking, tolls or other journey charges
  • Number of vehicles
  • Whether close protection is required
  • Travel between UK regions or overnight requirements
  • Notice period and out-of-hours requirements

Secure chauffeur FAQs

What makes this different from a standard chauffeur booking?

The journey can be planned with additional attention to discretion, itinerary coordination and integration with a wider security requirement. The exact difference is defined by the confirmed scope rather than by the word “secure” alone.

Is the chauffeur also a bodyguard?

Not automatically. Personal guarding is close protection and must be assigned to an operative with the appropriate active SIA licence. Ask for both services if both are needed.

Are London chauffeur journeys licensed?

A London private-hire journey must use the applicable TfL-licensed driver, vehicle and operator arrangements. These requirements are separate from any SIA security licence.

Can you arrange airport transfers?

Airport collections, drop-offs and onward journeys can be requested. Provide the airport, terminal, flight details, passenger count and luggage when asking for a quote.

Can I choose a particular vehicle?

You can request a vehicle class and describe passenger, luggage or accessibility needs. A make, model or specialist feature is supplied only when expressly confirmed.

Can you accept a short-notice booking?

Short-notice requests can be assessed, but a booking is not confirmed until suitable transport, personnel and licensing arrangements are available.
